For the success and failure of any organization or any project is largely depending upon its experienced, capable, committed, resourceful, sincere & hard working human resources. And, to make them capable & resourceful, it is highly essential for the organization to capacitate the capacities of the human resources in order to cater the need of the project, organization and the community with whom they have been working.

To develop their capacities, it is very difficult or hard task for the organization to spend much upon them due to various reasons. In order to address the need of the human resources of this region, Ekta started its own training cum resource centre where these human resources not only of Ekta but also other development agencies (both Govt. as well as Non Govt.) will get an opportunity at an affordable price with all facilities.

Ekta’s centre is situated at Duruguda around 8 kms away from Koraput towards Sunabeda on the National Highway - 26. Near to Kolab reservoir and surrounded with natural beauties is easily connected with all time communication especially with road. One can easily reach to this place without any problem. At a time, we can accommodate more than 60 participants with lodging & boarding facilities (separate for male & female) with fooding of participants’ choice! One can get all necessary resource materials at our level. Most importantly, it has been made accessible features which will be easy for the people having various disabilities, aged and temporary physical impairment. Special emphasis has been given for the life & security of the participants during the time of training program. On request, the centre can arrange experienced and resourceful resource person/s taking the need of the participants into account. To our credit & reputation, we have successfully organized different training programs of various natures taking the different stakeholders into view. ew.

Ekta is also working on Mother and Child Health. Through the UNICEF Behaviour Change Communication programme, Ekta is intervening in 6 blocks - Koraput, Dasmantpur, Pottangi, Jeypore, Kotpad & Semiliguda of Koraput district to disseminate four key messages (early and exclusive breast feeding, hand washing practice, HIV-AIDS, and girl child education). These messages are disseminated through a network of Village Information Centres and Village Youth Volunteers.
